Beginning as an RFID middleware company, we have added proprietary hardware, software, and consumables to become the first full-solution provider in the industry. SLS Visionary Founders
SLS was founded in 2005 by Jeff Hudson, with the vision of digitally automating supply chains with RFID. Jeff was a firm believer in starting by understanding business processes, then applying RFID solutions to maximize return on investment. This led to the creation of our breakthrough dock door (D-Series), conveyor tunnel (T-Series) and cycle counting (M-Series) solutions. For the past ten years, these solutions have been manufactured at our headquarters location in Howell, MI.
In 2023, SLS acquired Newave Sensor Solutions. A long-time partner of SLS, Newave was founded by RFID pioneer Dr. Walter (Den) Burnside, inventor of the patented wave antenna. The wave is only antenna specifically designed for item-level RFID tracking, setting a new standard for accuracy, versatility and efficiency.
